Look, I know that a lot of people would love to be able to work but I am working in a foreign country and its been quite stressful during these covid times because everything is so uncertain. Not to mention the language barrier and all the cultural things. It’s hard to get up every day and go to a job you don’t like too much. I’m stuck because no other countries are open which I could move to!
I kind of feel the same way. I’m not super excited about being in the insurance industry. I try to take the view that I’m making a necessary evil less evil.
Selling insurance? Seems like it could be a stressful position. I’m teaching English to high school students.
That’s tough! I forgot, which country are you in?
It’s a country in South East Asia.
Oh ok. That must be so hard.
It may be easier than being in America. There is no covid here. America makes me depressed and want to drink copiously
I’m sorry to hear that. I’m glad you’re in a place that doesn’t affect you in that way
Ugh… yep I’m very sad today.
I miss America lol how come your sad??
It has its moments.
That’s my wife’s racket as well.
I don’t like my job but now I work from mostly so I don’t really have to go anywhere. There is no commute so no sitting in traffic. I am not putting miles on any of my vehicles.
I’m looking forward to going back to work. In a way. Lol.
It is one reason why I chose to work in the care sector for now cos they continue your jobs during covid.
That’s the part of my job I love, working from home. We need to pass laws making all office jobs work from home.
I enjoy teaching math. But I don’t know. The pay is low because I don’t have qualifications. Maybe I can focus on being a math tutor instead of a computer programmer and do it on the side or freelance. My friend taught calculus at a private tutoring company with good SAT scores and a degree and made like 20-40 an hour teaching calculus part time.
That’s cool that you’re working as a math teacher.
I just drove around all around the mall that I used to go to as a kid. Stopped at CVS and got some Armor all wipes for my car up On the way home I drove through Der Weienersnizel and got a free chili dog. I love America!
I like my self employment work, but it is heavy lifting and so sore by the end of the day, need a lottery win and retire
Have you ever lived anywhere else? You sound all American!
Californian, born and raised.
