I never stopped working. Just working from home now. Eventually I will get to go back into the office.

what do you do tomcat?

I’m looking forward to going back to my volunteer work at the cricket club. We have a start date so first game will be around 12 July. It will be nice to get out of the house and out mowing the oval again…never thought I’d ever say that.

I collect taxes for the IRS but am talking to a few people about getting back into the aviation industry. That’s where most of my experience is.

@rogueone: 12 july, that’s coming up pretty quick. here in the states, pro sports has been rumored to restart in early June. hope it happens.

@tomcat: tax collector, sounds like being a dentist: needed but not exactly liked. my ex gf worked for as an engineer for Northrup.

Yeah. People aren’t generally too happy to see me. If I come a calling it’s usually because you owe a significant amount of money.

I hope to start going to group again once the clinic building opens for in person appointments. But they said 4 to 6 weeks

My job was work-from-home before COVID, continues to be now, and will be in the future. It looks like my wife’s job is going to flip to work-from-home next year. If that’s the case, we’re moving moving west to the mountains (a limitation of my job is that I have to live within a province that we have branches in).

@shutterbug: hi squirrel sir. I’ve never worked from home although when I sell things online it feels like I am. I enjoy being one’s own boss, taking breathers when I want, and the ability to run errands throughout the day. way less stress when it comes to dealing with co-workers.

do you reside in Canada?

I’m starting a part time job soon, at a gym of all things. It’s scary for a number of reasons, but here we are.

My aim is to work in a dental office close to my graduation date(early 2021). There are lots of jobs in my city where I’m strictly doing a small set of tasks like paperwork or phone calls for the dentist. If/when I get comfortable, I might do full on dental reception.
