I am worried about stuff happening if in 40s like late miscarriage or congential issues.
I know of someone who had a miscarriage yesterday.
That makes me sad for her.
She is in her 40s.
So that also got me thinking.
To consider earlier.
The main issue is finances.
I owe a substantial amount of money too.
Anyway just my thoughts on that.
Anyone else considering a late pregnancy?

My wife wants to get pregnant , but its extremely unlikely to happen naturally without assistance. She’s 48.
I’m good with it if she does but I realize how unlikely this is at our ages.
She often is convinced she is pregnant until she takes a test or has her period.
I think she has a little too much faith that its going to happen sometimes and only sets herself up for a letdown.

Yes it is unlikely.
But it still is possible indeed.
My friends friend had a baby at 50 she did it via IVF
wow cool that your wife still gets the flow at 48
Good luck it may happen u never know.

My brother and his girlfriend, she’s like 46, had to do a bunch of fertility treatments like IVF… they finally succeeded and have a daughter now who is about to be 5 months old
You guys could always go that route.. but from what I’ve heard it’s crazy expensive

Thanks @Wonderer .
I’m not sure if IVF would conflict with her religious beliefs.
Plus we are running into a lot of costs right now that might not make it a wise financial decision.
If we could unload her condo, it would help.

Yeah, understandable!
@Bowens
There’s also a blood test she could request where it guesstimates her egg reserve…
So you know if there’s a chance of it happening naturally..
If she’d be okay with that…

I’m pretty sure it’s called “anti-mullerian hormone” or something like that…
I can double check.

Yeah @Zoe
Finances are important with kids…
But some people make it work no matter what.
I think a stable, helpful partner is important too..
I personally do not plan on having kids after 35.. but that’s me and my opinion at the current moment
