So i think i havent been getting a second date sometimes because my date would see the cutter scars on my left arm. Lets just say i was an impressionable teenager and saw a girl on Degrassi high cutting so i decided to see what was up. I proceeded to cut myself a couple times while feeling angsty prob from hormones. The scars never fully healed and now im 28 with those scars still sitting there. I do regret it but id like to cover them now.
Im thinking more nerd like tattoos, maybe ill get kiki from kikis delivery service to cover them. Or maybe just something simple.
Anyways im taking suggestions for tattoos to put on my forearm.
I know what you mean though. I have a lot of cutting scars on my leg. At least I can cover them up. Just go to a shop and talk to an artist. You guys will figure something out.
Only you know what you will want to live with forever. Coming from someone who is completely sleeved - you will appreciate them more if they mean something to you.
I understand your reasons though as that is the reason I started getting tats. I got tired of people asking me about my scars.
And after the first few tattoos, I was hooked.
Do a lot of research of things you love. If you’re artistic, try drawing it yourself.
I love black roses and snakes, that’s what I have one my right upper arm. It and the one on my chest are the only ones I really love. The others, eh. Always be sure you love the design.
Someone I know with a LOT of scars got a full sleeve tattoo of an image from “The little prince”, and it’s really awesome. You’re so busy looking at the tattoo you don’t even notice her scars.
Me, I want the solar system (Pluto and asteroid belts included) on my right forearm
And I have the yin/yang symbol shaped by two fish on my left arm
Also a fun thing is draw or get an image you really like, and ask an artist to do their version with their art style to it, you get a whole new unique idea sometimes.
i would like an arm sleeve, not sure what i want. right now im thinking a piece with my family coat of arms. also i was thinking maybe a fertility goddess piece, or maybe a celtic cross. dont know yet.
If I was going in for some hard time, I think I would get a few tattoos. I would maybe get a heart with “MOM” written inside it. Maybe I’d get something that had the Marines motto on it.
I’m actually a tattoo artist and I agree with everyone here… just kinda take your time and do some research on the artist and the piece or pieces you want personally and go talk with and artist… I’ve had this situation a few times and each time I took the proper time working with the individual and gave them a nice new look that made them happy! That’s another reason to go talk to an artist because some artist are ■■■■■■■■but at the same time some are super chill and that’s more the person you want doing something personal to you at the end of the day. I understand why you would want to cover your scars up as I have scars all over my left arm. So I agree with the folks who said you should look at your interests and go from there. And if you feel comfortable sharing your new tat when you get one I’d love to see it.
