It can cause psychosis. I was looking like a ghost and freezing to death, because I didn’t think my hypothyroidism was that bad. I started taking the medication and noticed quieter auditory hallucinations.

Are you on lithium by any chance?
No. I wouldn’t be able to take that. I read about the problems.

Oh just making sure cuz I was ignorant to my lithium causing hypothyroidism in me for the year I was on it. Glad you’re informed!!! Hopefully you can try a med like cinthroid???
Yes. I take that or maybe generic form.

Yeah, the body metabolizes lithium thru the thyroid cuz it’s in the same class as iodine. It goes thru the thyroid and damages it. I’ve been on Synthroid for 30 years since I was on lithium. Thankfully it’s a cheap med.
