I might have the Omicron variant

I started sneezing last night, now got a stuffy nose and feeling a bit light headed and feeling generally sick (malaise)

So far no fever, it seems that my symptoms are pretty mild so far.

Early reports out of South Africa state that most patients are reporting milder symptoms.

I may get tested later today, but then again it could just be a cold.

I’ll see how my father feels later on.

There are still relatively few people who have the omicron variant, so chances are slim. But then again, you never know.

Hope you feel better soon. The weather changed as well.

Thanks @Jonathan2 and @anon53623539
Yeah hopefully it’s just a mild cold.

I regret going to a crowded family gathering on Thanksgiving, everyone there was unmasked.
Including me

I don’t know what the odds are to catch covid. It’s one in a hundred to get sz.

Just because you sneezed some and are stuffy doesn’t mean it’s the new variant. You tend to do this a lot.

Never said it was definitely Covid
But there’s always that chance right?
@anon4362788

I wouldn’t worry. Congestion is generally not a symptom of Covid.

Yeah thanks @Pandy
I’m feeling a bit better already.

I hope you feel better soon. I thought I had a cold a week ago, but it only lasted 2 days so I think it was a mild flu.

Yeah I’m admittedly a hypochondriac but last night I felt sick.
Maybe it’s a mild flu?

Did you have fever @LilyoftheValley?

Yes, a low grade fever

There’s always a chance, but you tend to think every twinge is something awful. You’ll be fine. Even if you get COVID.

I had it and with the vaccine it’s like a mild flu. You feel crummy for 3 to 5 days, then feel a lot better.

The problem at hand is that I suffer with lots of different health problems @anon4362788.
So if I contract Covid it might become more than a mild flu.

It may make me very sick or even kill me.

I don’t want to seem so negative but it’s a real possibility.

There is a lot the medical experts don’t know about Covid and it’s various variants.

God help us all.

My husband is disabled and has a lot of complications from it. He was fine. You have the vaccine and booster. You’ll be fine.
