I’m like a zombie

I spend most of the time lounging about the house, lying on the couch.
I display very little emotion and the only activity that gives me some pleasure is stuffing my face with carbs and starchy foods.

Just going through the motions.

Food is a big part of my day too. It’s one of the things that still brings me joy. I think a lot of sz go through that. My portions are pretty small but I eat throughout the day.

I wonder if many of us like to eat more because theses meds block dopamine and doesn’t eating starchy high calorific foods raise dopamine?

Just a thought. Not a conclusion…

I feel like this too sometimes.

The thing is, we have to change it up,

Clean something, bake something, go on a walk.

I try to do a different thing everyday to keep myself from feeling like a zombie.

You can do it too.

Im a ball of anxiety inside that needs Ativan to feel normal. I can feel emotions but they’re tougher to bring out these days.
If I lay in bed all day my heart palpitations get out of control and panic me.

Overeating is a big problem for me. I crave sweet stuff. I look like I am nine months pregnant and ready to give birth any day.

I feel like total crap. I know what it feels like. Although I don’t have much appetite these days. I eat very little. Just started on Lexapro too.

He knows how bad my anxiety and panic attacks get. I currently have no re fills left so I’m hoping he gives me some next time I see him.

I was begging my doc for more today. It really helps w/ my symptoms and overall feeling of well being.

Ativan is an amazing drug, it just becomes very habit forming and it’s hard to get off. Pros and cons. It makes me feel somewhat normal for a couple of hours.

Yeah that is why my doc is so hesitant about it. He told me not to take it more than 2 times a week… He actually wanted 2 times a month but I said no way. I wonder how long it’s effects last.

Oh @Vertigo you are so much more and you do so much more than you capture in these words! I can relate, and I understand. But know you are trying your best, and you are Grade A!
