I said it a year ago but wasn’t ready but now I’m definitely ready to perform at open mics. I’m pumped for it. Most of all I will have FUN

you got better as you got into it
the nerves were gone, and it was pure talent
if you want to do it often, get a website of your venues
and make business cards, these are people I keep an eye on.

Freshman year of college speech class the teacher asked me to stay after class because she wondered why I was so good at making speeches but never talked other than that in class.

since Phil is never up for it

I think it’s awesome that you’re gonna do the open mic thing. I’ve wondered about getting into poetry readings, that sort of thing, but i don’t know that i ever would. I’m sure you’ll do well. Good luck!
