I’m going to a retreat soon

It’s in the woods for three days. I went last year. It’s for women, it’s a lot of trauma processing stuff. It changed me last year.

I got the go ahead to bring my service dog in training this year, which is so exciting. Last year I really could have used her help

In my prodromal phase I did a meditation retreat. It didn’t help.

I’ve done some retreats since diagnosis but I haven’t benefited that much because I’m simply too heavily medicated.

I hope that it helps you and that they welcome people with sz (I’ve been refused for this reason before).

Edit: I’ve done a breathing exercises retreat in the UK in 2019 which did give me a healing experience.

I keep going. I have a retreat/course next year in Barcelona.

My first voice started when I was in a plane on my way to a retreat in Denver.

Healing Trauma from Levine is a good book with trauma processing exercises.

I can recommend it if you’re looking for that.

Good luck with the retreat!

I totally want to go on one of these retreats.

A woman I know does them,

But they’re almost a thousand dollars for a three day weekend.

I’m thinking about taking that money and going to Joshua Tree for a camping trip, alone.

I’m just afraid of safety issues.

Everyone’s assured me I’d likely be okay.

I don’t know.

Have fun!
