Played some guitar, got really inspired by this rapper Sleepy Hallow. Didnt turn out like his beats but I think its pretty cool and unique, and it has my style to it
Let me know if anything could be improved please, Im gonna show this one to everyone after I rap on it lol

So far only got a chorus I think goes like this:
Sweatin like I got caught in a fire
Motionless in bed
Am I really dead
Or did I just get sent to heaven
Thanks so much for checking it out, Im really excited to rap on it!

Hmmmm the guitar is chill but the bass has a very active sound. For me its great except for the punch of the bass.
but I guess you want something more modern? DIlla does an amazing job bringing the guitar to the foreground. I noticed in the vocal take you recorded, it´s a little bit hidden.

Yo J Dilla is beast Im sure, but never really listened. Somehow I missed him. I think what it is is I came from classic rock to alt rock and indie stuff to hip hop pretty late in life in college basically so I got gaps in what Ive listened to
Beat sounds sick tho man, I wanted to bring the guitar out more but Im a bit insecure about my ability to play to a click so I kept it hidden. Maybe Ill experiment a bit
This one I made is probably closer to what youre looking for, I used to be so inspired man

Love It. Has a maggot brain feeling, the guitar part!
But I still like the above beat. I was just trying to help if you gonna tune It up more

Yo j dilla was a vibeeeeee. Dunno how you missed him. When I first started rapping I only rapped on j Dilla beats
Doesn’t mean anything besides they’re sick

Don’t let what people think kill your influences. The musical transit of your life tells your story (and probably more people from your generation. You can really speak to them.) like when you study music history you see the history of the world, but in a smaller context
