I’ve lost a little of my hearing and the voices in my head sound louder than ever. Is it because I’ve lost hearing? It just sounds so so close.
I don’t hear voices but maybe the voices sound louder because you can:t hear background noises as well anymore and maybe they were drowning out the voices. Maybe the noises outside your head were drowning out the voices before or distracting you from hearing them.
Exactly this! I figured this is what was happening. Ugh! It sucks to suddenly be yelled at and jump 3 feet in the air.
I can’t hear my inner voice. This happened a while ago.
This happened to me when I had ear wax. I was able to make out words.
I was able to regain a bit of hearing. I still hear the voices very loudly.
Did something recently happen to your hearing?
Yes, I got the flu and my ear drum busted from the force of my coughs. It was so bad that I bled from my eyes.
Oh my
I hope you’re ok. That sounds pretty brutal.
It was. I couldn’t handle the fever. I was in hospital for a bit. I had fluids and meds for the aches and pain.
Oh jeez. Sorry you had to go thru that!! Not fun…
