I know i’ve asked this before but I’m hoping different people reply. My question is… what’s the longest you’ve ever stayed awake for? And how did you feel?
I stayed awake for 36 hours once in 2014 because I was homeless in a new city and didn’t know where to sleep and was scared to sleep outside.
Being homeless is one of my biggest fears. How long were you on the streets for?
It was just that one night. The rest of the time I slept at missions until I got tired of that and went to live with my dad again.
My voices once kept me awake for 3 days, falling asleep finally was a really weird sensation.
Probably only around 16 hours. I worked 12 hour shifts and it took an hour to drive to work each way and it always took me a while to go to sleep.
I’m glad you weren’t homeless for very long.
I’ve done all nighters partying, but also studying. So I guess 36 hours.
Longer than I can remember. The days blurred-together into one foggy mass of time.
Yeah 16 hours isn’t very long.
My son can stay awake for quite a few hrs & then sleep for 36hrs.

Yeah I know. But I was really tired after staying up that long lol. Im used to sleeping 10-12 hours.
I once stayed up painting from dusk until dawn. I love oil paints because you can constantly edit the artwork without them suddenly drying, and you can experiment with shades and hues of color, shadows, and lighting. I think that turning insomnia/mania and symptoms into art and creatively channeling it has been the healthiest way to deal and cope with my non-neuro-typical self.
When I get manic a stay up for 3 days, sleep 4 hours then repeat. Can’t go manic anymore because I get irrational and dangerous. Last time I go off my meds if I can avoid it.
I remember looong time ago my voices said i only needed to live on coffee so i was just subsisting on coffee and no food for a couple days till i blew up
Im mostly a hypersomnia type. Too much sleepin
I regularly go around 24-48 hours with zero sleep, maybe a half-hour nap in there somewhere that never actually gets into REM sleep
