i may have posted this before, but one time a guy told me he stayed up for 11 days. and i just happened to be in a cycle of nightmares at the time, so i experimented to see how long i could stay awake, i made it like 2 and half days, and it really worsened my symptoms, i was hallucinating and tired and walking all day not to fall asleep. i remember when i finally laid down to sleep i thought i may die in my sleep and never wake up. that was about 5 years ago, and i haven’t missed a night of sleep since. i made it some 60 some hours but wouldn’t recommend it.

after my experiment i guessed that the guy who told me he stayed awake for 11 days was probably lying. maybe not, but i couldn’t even make it 3 days.

In college sometimes I didn’t sleep studying all night bcz I had 4 exams in one day. I still got good grades. I was drinking dark cocoa drink to not fall asleep.

Also when I went camping in mountains with the scout I was sleeping 2-3hours per night for 2 weeks. I had to be a guard at night bcz there is snakes and wild animals.

I’ve stayed awake for days in a row with the help of meth before. I hallucinated too. I don’t see staying up for 11 days without going mad. I have problems now if I miss one day.

When I was incarcerated, I didn’t sleep for like two weeks… maybe even more… the voices kept me up

My longest time was about 52 hours. Surprisingly it was hard to fall asleep when I finally laid down, took me an hour.

I once went without sleep for 3 days straight while cussing out the voices constantly leading to a trip to the ER and my first schizophrenia medicine. I was in my 20’s at the time and had experienced poor sleep for a year after my psychotic break. For those of you who think you can neutralize the voices by telling them to simply shut up or cussing them out let me tell you that it doesn’t work that way.
