59000 with seller paying 2000 of closing costs. I hope they accept it. Im so excited.
How very exciting. Congratulations and the ring is beautiful!!!
Fingers crossed!
I just went through a home purchase process November 1st. My father purchased it while he was in a rehabilitation nursing center. The lawyer and agent had to come to the center as the closing date was already moved a week out. They were hoping my father would be out. My father finished all the signatures at 3:30pm. The seller wanted the money the next day. I had until 4pm to wire the money in order for it to be available for the seller the next day. It was my first time wiring a large sum of money. I hit send at 3:59pm. The seller got the money and the deal was sealed. So happy for you @Bowens. Hope all works out.
I hope your offer is accepted. The price is good, and the seller is motivated.
Don’t worry too much about the interest rate because if the rate does fall in the future you’ll be able to refinance at the lower rate.
Even if your offer is not accepted, keep making offers on other houses. You’ll be a homeowner soon.
You’ve just made 2 major life decisions in the span of less than 48 hours. The ring and now the house.
I think you are manic and need to take a whoa pill!
I would be excited too. Congratulations! That sounds like a good deal.
I hope they do too. It would be great to have your own house.
I was gonna say, this seems a bit like a mania. Be careful @Bowens, mania is sneaky if youve ever had it.
Im fine. Really guys
I made these decisions before the last 48 hours.
Im not manic. These decisions were already made. They just happened to coincide in timeframe
Thanks @HollyHobbie
Let me preface this by stating that I’m a cautious person by nature.
I would recommend proceeding with some caution on major life decisions and major purchases for two reasons: (1) You recently had mental health crisis which could be affecting your decision making, and (2) the US economy could get rocky which may adversely affect personal finances.
Maybe consider slowing things down a little in terms of major decisions/purchases.
Thx for the advice. If things get rocky, all the more reason to get this done now instead of later. Anywho, the house offer is already done.
I just wantvto say to those who think im manic : I knowvthis is a mental health forum, and you are trying to help , but not everything in life is a mental illness.
Just saying.
This forum by nature views thing through a mental health lense.
Hmmmm?
This forum is super quick to diagnose someone with a symptom when they could just be having a good time and growing in life.
I wrestle with that too. But its good to be cautious.
Because im prone to mania, whenever i have a big expense or decision ill sit on it for 3 weeks and see later if it still makes sense.
But hey pretty exciting you got a house on the way
Thanks. Im not bipolar or schizoaffective though. I am not prone to mania.
