I just easily convinced chatgbt i didnt have schizophrenia

I faked being delusional about not having schizophrenia and in less than five minutes it told me i didnt. AND gave me advice on how to stop medication

This is important because we should NOT be using it

I have found it useful in helping talk through social interactions

It’s actually helped me be more understanding and calmer

I dont think thats worth it potentially feeding into delusions. Just my opinion

These things have a long way to go before they iron out these types of issues

This is insane

It’s been helpful for me. Even something I’ve been scared of for years and thought for sure was real it told me was a “delusion of control” it didn’t convince me. But it planted a seed of doubt in my head.

I think i just clearly proved it cant be trusted but so with that info what you will

Was it 4o or the downgraded version? I stop using it when it downgrades because the advice goes downhill.

Hot take: the promotion of chatgbt on here should be banned since it has potential to feed into delusions like lots of topics on here.

I forget whos all mods now besides @Ninjastar

Hottake: All internet should be banned because bad advice comes from everywhere. And all the articles about passwords being stolen and hacking triggers my delusions so I want that banned as well.

Lots of topics are banned and i just very clearly showdd how this could be EXTREMELY dangerous for us

Before this i had never even googled chatgbt let alone used it.

oh you didnt do it on a personal account with chat gpt knowing your prior history? Thats the problem I bet. My chat GPT has learned me. So it never tells me stuff like that. Chat GPT has a memory if you are signed in and use it often enough. Its really amazing when used like that. It picks up on my symptoms when i’m not even talking about them.

I mean it’s totally dependent on the individual. I could talk to gpt for days and there’s no way it would convince me I don’t have schizophrenia. I just depends on how impressionable you are. It can be incredibly valuable tool as long as your aware of its limitations and biases.

What you put in quality wise is what you get out

SZ is a very niche thing that probably doesn’t even factor into the rules and restrictions set on what it can and cannot do

Try being honest with it and say you think it’s unethical and argue with it

No surprises really as they have trained it on human knowledge and that’s shaky at best any way

Just use it as a quick way to summarise internet info

They have never said it will replace doctors!

I just told my chat gpt that I want to quit my medicine and asked if it could help me. It basically said that a lot of people with schizophrenia feel that way but that it is dangerous. That it couldn’t help me. And to talk to my doctor.

I use it to fix code bugs and even then it doesn’t get it right all the time

They even have prompt engineers because you can only get good stuff from it if your wording is done well

I sent 6 messages wih the most delusional, yet subtle at the same time, things i could think of. I made it sound like i didnt have schizophrenia, told it i mever had hallucinations or delusions, and asked it if i have schizophrenia

I stand by my stance

I also opened up the chat by saying i heard aomeone talking but no one else reacted what does that mean.
