Nothing anyone says means anything to me as much as discovering that what they said is what I felt, too, only in different words. For instance, the doctor said I felt unloved when it made more sense to me to think of myself as socially insecure. Same concept, different words.
there are subtleties and differences in words. it’s confusing to me sometimes how people relate on one set of words one day and those same words divide them on another.
words have power, they have meaning, they convey what’s inside of us and they have a way to connect people to one another.
that being said. i think most people lost the meaning of words and just use them however they see fit any given moment of a day.
it helped for me to organize things in my head and life by having my own understanding of words as well. basically i started with the same thought as you did then found out what words really are in all the magical ways the exist in our society and this life.
words are fun.
