Its good that it is mild, I have a constant urge to move my tongue inside my mouth and open my mouth. It is really distressing especially in public and only gets worse with anxiety. My both grandmothers had tardive dyskinesia
I had that at one point too. It is reqlly distressing
I am currently changing meds, not sire if its permanent or not, probably haloperidol caused
@Newlyborn I probably have it due to meds my neck moves a lot and my eye twitches a lot I can’t stop my eye at all
I’m sorry haloperidol did that to you. Hopefully it goes away with a new med
It might be enhances by escitalopram I use, honna stop ot for a bit and see
I always heard TD was a movement you made without cognition. I don’t believe it’s a compulsion. Please ask your pdoc.
Dystonia is a movement made without an urge, tardive dyskinesia make you want to move certain mouth muscles
Or can it be caused by my haloperidol withdrawals?
I get orofacial dyskensia (when your mouth moves around in fish like movements) when my injection runs low.
Just means your dopamine receptors are very sensitive.
Lower your meds if it gets too intense, otherwise caffeine and exercise will greatly help to prevent it.
Could it be i have tardive dyskinesia because im switching from haloperidol to Invega?
It is said vitamin E can possibly ameliorate TD.
Could be, I’d mention it to my pdoc if it gets worse.
