Another site I go on has a patron system that gives you access to more than standard. They took nothing away from the site, they added new features on a separate web page.
Seemed pretty good as the site was going to close without the support.

Yeah @Joker . You don’t want to leave people out and you can’t . What we need is a system that rewards regular users . You don’t lose anything even if it’s just a badge…That’s all I’m saying!
If you Google Discourse, it’s very expensive! I would also like to contribute something. I use this site a lot too.

As we move forward as a community we need to acknowledge the price it costs to maintain this website.
It’s not an easy decision. But it also costs money to keep things going. I’m fortunate I can pay for some simple liberties and I guess there’s a lot like me. We just need a more robust model to keep the website afloat!

A woman I know was being interviewed for a tech company job and she was asked ‘What does the word community mean to you?’
She replied ‘You know when a group of friends identify the weakest person in the group and then they all gang up on that person and make their life a living Hell…that’s community.’
