I have had a revelation

Ok I will try it too lol.

600 grams 2.50
-------------- = -------------- hmmmmmmm i know its a ratio problem
800 grams 3.50

just dont know how to set it up. maybe need to get it down to price per 1 gram first?

Yep you got it!

You are smart

Did you do maths at college too like the others above

yaaaaaay we did it

I didnt do math in college. I was the most horrible at math for most my life. but starting back in 2016 I decided I wanted to do computer programming so I needed to learn math. So I started from about grade 4 and worked my way up to pre-calculus! it took me until nov 2020 to do it.
I was doing it sporadically for a few years then was able to get more stable and work on it more consistently this year.

I had a strange thing that would happen to me when I did lots of math.
Whenever I would look at buildings id see images of my head of the buildings being measured, angles calculated, diameters all sorts of stuff just popping up on anything I would look at. my mind was just imprinting the math on stuff.
i guess our brains are good at looking at things in a different way.

one thing I like about math is theres not just one way to do a math problem. I wasn’t the greatest at accurate numbers but I understand all the concepts I learned. plus computers are good for accuracy.

I dont think id make a good civil engineer lol I probably am not picky enough and that would be scary for buildings

that is really cool.

I always remember once when I had a rash on my wrist and I said to my friend look, it is the universe, and she said that I am weird. lol

I loved organic chemistry too, I was #1 in my class. Got 99% in the final lol 96% overall with labs. I did organic chemistry 1 and 2.

at college??

btw what is organic chemistry as opposed to non organic chemistry?

Yes, here you have to do college to get in university. Organic vs non organic are different type of chemicals:

" The primary difference that lies between these organic compounds and inorganic compounds is that organic compounds always have a carbon atom while most of the inorganic compounds do not contain the carbon atom in them. Almost all the organic compounds contain the carbon-hydrogen or a simple C-H bond in them."

oh right. I thought that college meant university in America. my bad.

so how old is someone typically for ‘college’?

btw well done on your achievements, you should treasure them. i hope you do

pre-calculus is a canadian or north american mix of things that I guess prepares you for calculus. I guess its like a mix of algebra 2 and graphing.

It had,

Functions, equations and graphs of polynomials, rational, log/exponential, radical and others.

I did all my courses online and used youtube and some other sources to learn it all.

this youtube channel helped me a lot. excellent teacher

I am not allowed to keep exams, the teacher keeps them but he did let me review my errors in his office. College is 2 years. I was supposed to be in university at 19 but I got in at 20 as I worked and had to do a French class that I failed. Hated French, I find English easier. Then passed that French course with 87% I aced it and it was the highest grade in my class. I was in the top college in my city and in the neighboring city.

Then I got in an English university.

It was around that time that I started having sz symptoms bringing my grades down. I had to study much more to get the same grade and sometimes less.

the best thing I learned from math was how to break down complex problems. You can apply those same principles to your life problems.

ok so college is kind of like A and AS levels in the UK, perhaps, as that is what we do just before entering university, typically, and is also 2 years.

I meant treasure it mentally. and perhaps save the certificates :star_struck:

can I ask which one?

that teacher is good. He is very clear and logical, I see why you chose to do those youtube tutorials.

I cant say which one here as I dont want to reveal my city or the neighboring city. But it was an average university, not a top one. I got in kinesiology, its like physiotherapy but you have to do a 4th year to be a physiotherapist. I just did 3 years and got a major degree.

I never did calculus except for a couple of fun ones.
Id like to learn more discrete math next if I continue

Hm, not sure lol, if my brain capacity has space for that but if I feel the need for it, defo will check it out, thankyou.

best of wishes if you do, it is nice to see that you enjoy maths, it is quite a mysterious subject, imo.
