I have come to the conclusion

that it doesn’t matter whether or not I accept the diagnosis… I don’t… the treatment is something I have to and do accept though. so if I keep saying I don’t have sz, why does it matter…? I mean even the doc is confused can you blame me.

It could mean meds work for you.

It makes sense for you to think you are not SZ cause you don’t have symptoms

But didn’t you say you have gone off meds and was back in the hospital.

I forget.

Yes I did. But the last psychosis I had was induced by antidepressants, but I was also off antipsychotics at the time. But I have only been in hospital once.

I just feel I am never going to accept my diagnosis, and that probably keeps me from getting too depressed about it. As long as I am accepting the treatment, I don’t think even the docs care too much.

Which meds do you currently take?

10mg abilify … I have been on this dose for over a year now.

Okay. I think your diagnosis mainly matters if you want to get benefits anyway.

I get benefits at standard rate, but I don’t think they’ll renew it this time unfortunately…

You are not a diagnosis. Don’t try to “find yourself” in labels doctors place on you.
