I have brain warp when i transposed onto this post

hey! why is it that most psychiatric medication causes dopamine to plummet, sometimes so low it makes us unable to function on a different level than our illness, none of the pharmaceutical companies have spent much time investigating the amount that each medication lowers and correct the problem and make a medication to counter balance the effect of dopamine deprivation?

I’ve been thinking about switching to vraylar personally, which I read that it modulates dopamine activity. Im currently on Abilify though and I wonder if it does the same thing.

Abilify works differently to other antipsychotics , so it doesn’t hammer dopamine.
