I have approached my employer

I have asked for reasonable adjustments in the form of going from 38 hrs a week to 23

Hope they will do it

They need to tell me today if they can do a zoom call tomorrow for the health care employment specialist to attend - otherwise it will be next year

Hopefully they contact you today. Good on you for bringing it up to them and asking.

I am telling them everything

Sometimes you gotta. The last job I was in I had to tell them my case manager and I came to the conclusion that I could only work 20 hours and they agreed and changed my schedule immediately. They even let me choose what shift I wanted to be on.

I am glad they supported you with this

My employer has failed so far today to acknowledge my email, and I have WhatsApp my manager as well, but no response.

Their communication is rubbish, and it’s one of the things that stresses me out

How are you supposed to be effective at your job 80% remote when the comms is shite!?!?!??!??!

That is so unprofessional. You’ve attempted on 2 different platforms. And it makes no sense, because it could easily be program/work stuff related. They should contact you back. And I hope that they do.

Exactly the issue most of us have. No communication, no efficiency, or for that matter, no efficacy.

Apparently she denies having the email and has now finished for the day. Great

Oh my goodness. That’s awful. I’m sorry, man. What are you going to do now?

Going to have to go sick in the new year until they can organise a meeting I guess

You just have to focus on you. I know you want to work as this is your dream job. But you can’t stress yourself more than needed just for a job. Stress always makes my symptoms worse. So I keep it light or well try to.

I don’t like issues going unresolved

Because of this tardy lacklustre lassie-fair attitude it won’t be dealt with this side of Christmas!

What sort of a job do you have?

I am a Data Analyst for a Private Healthcare company

Good. You are doing well. I wanted to be a data analyst, too…a statistician to be precise, it is a good job. I can be an actuary as I have passed exams, but I prefer doing what I am doing currently.

What are you up to at the moment?

I am trading stocks. It is more interesting to me than being a Statistician/Actuary although they are stable incomes and this is rather crazy and volatile.

I worked for an all or nothing business before. Made life interesting being on the edge all the time, but no good for stress!

This company is the opposite of what I am used to

Haha yeah…this stuff is a lot of stress.

What were you doing before?

Sometimes I think I would have been better off doing data analysis/Actuary/etc…

It was a marketing business, but we did ad-hoc projects which meant we could be zero or £6m
