She uses the box and little closet I set up for her really well. Problem is, she kicks sand out of the box onto the floor and then poops on the floor. She pees in the box fine. But every poop she goes in the same place on the floor. No poops in the box. I clean the box twice a day, morning and night. Should I clean it in the afternoon too? It’s no problem to clean it up it’s in sand she kicks out first and it’s on tile, but I’m just wondering why she’s decided to do this.
Silly kitty! Have you tried maybe just scooping up the poop and putting it back in the box so she associates the two? It might be turning into habit now.

Also, maybe get a little box with a lid? That’s what we have. We have 2. Keeps the litter contained.

What kind of litter box do you have?
I alway used the covered ones with a little flap over entrance. I found it helped cut down litter being flung.
