Did he tell you what branch, his division, position, and all? Have you reverse searched his pictures to see of they lead to another profile?

And if he refuses to video chat, don’t continue talking to him until he does. There’s no reason these days why he can’t, or at the very least send a pic with him holding a paper saying “hi mike, its me” and the date.
