“The Turn of the Screw”, by Henry James, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Other Stories”, by Washington Irving, and “The Phantom of the Opera”, by Gaston Leroux. I am so excited to start reading them. But, first, I have to finish reading two books I am now deep into: “Church History: A History of the Catholic Church to 1940”, by Father John Laux, and “Don Quixote”, by Miguel de Cervantes. And, I am thoroughly enjoying them both.
I just finished reading a history book on WW2. It’s been a while since I read non fiction but it wasn’t too bad. Very interesting.
Not sure what my next book will be but probably go for a fantasy novel. Been eyeing off those books which the Witcher computer games are based on. I may very well try those!
Yeah I saw that! Heard some good things so will pick one up after xmas…not going near a bookstore till this silly season shopping is over! Too many punters everywhere!
I’m waiting on Tortilla Flat, but already got my dad In Dubious battle at the library. I cannot read books right now, so I have other people read them and then they discuss them with me and I can remember bits of the plots sometimes. I’m doing a run of seroquel to see if better sleep will mean better reading.
It is a marvellous gift to read these books. I need to get my fix any way I can, so I will access the plot through other people. I love the internet, I can buy the books I want using the internet.
@rogueone not to worry. Just looked it up on google and got the names of the books. Been looking for something to read and the Witcher 3 is my favourite game. I think I may give these books a try.
