Guys I’m so so excited! I got the job I applied for! This is going to be so much better for my mental health. They have an impressive benefits package. Health insurance, dental, vision. 20 days of PTO per year. 40 hours of life leave(sick or personal days) this is a salaried position at $45,800 starting out. But it does pay hourly over time if I do work above the 40 hour work week.
I don’t start till September 29th so I just gotta get through 7 more weeks at my current job.
The recruiter told me she was impressed with my resume and that I could eventually move into a medical coding job since I got that certification earlier this year.
I hope this job lives up to my expectations. It is work after all, so not all fun and games.
Training will be Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm for 12 weeks in office. Then once training is over it goes into a hybrid position 1 week in office and 3 weeks at home. They also said they have multiple shifts available either 5x8s or 4x10s.
I still don’t have a car so I’ll be taking the bus. I may get a bike as the bike path goes straight there. 3.5 miles from me I could technically walk there if necessary.
So that’s it! The job title is an auto insurance claim initial contact. Which just means if someone calls to make a claim about an auto accident, I’m their point of contact.
