Counting down the days

I’m beyond excited and also nervous for this new chapter in my life. I only have 5 more shifts at my current job until it’s quitting day. And there’s only 10 days till I start my new job. Yesterday I did a “dry run” on the bus system to see how long it would take for me to walk to and from the bus stop and get to my work Building. In total it took nearly 40 minutes which is not as bad as I was thinking it could be.

My new job is working in insurance initial loss reporting. I’ll have to get my insurance license within the first 6 weeks of work. They give us 3 attempts to pass or else we can be fired. That part makes me nervous.

The office buildings are so pretty though and there’s even a pizza restaurant and a Starbucks on campus. They have water features and little desert gardens you can walk through. Take a look at this building. It’s not the exact building I’m working from but it has the same style of mirrored windows

On the other side of the buildings is a lake which provides some amazing views

starting pay is also decent at $22.75 an hour to start every January they give a yearly bonus that’s between 6-9% of your annual salary. Mine will be prorated since I’ll only have worked 3 months when they’re doing bonuses I’ve calculated that I could get up to a $900 bonus if I preform well.

I’m so excited for this new chapter to unfold in my life
