I got out of the house

Me and my two sisters drove up to see my mom today for her 78th birthday. All four of us went to lunch in a nice restaurant. It was pretty uneventful until my sisters got into it a little bit. A few heated words were exchanged. I don’t like to see them fight. My mom loves lemon cake so I baked her a cake from a recipe I downloaded and printed off the internet. It took me 3 hours to make. Unfortunately we had to throw it out! For the frosting I had used raw eggs and I had let the cake sit out for a day and a half because I didn’t know any better. Eggs spoil quickly so rather than risk salmonella poisoning we had to toss my nice cake out.
The drive up there took two hours and took us through San Fransisco and over the Golden Gate bridge. It’s always nice to be in The City. Anyway I just got back, sipping some Chrystal Light and then off to bed. It was some good moments and bad moments. I miss my old socializing days. Thursday, Thanksgiving dinner at my nephews house.Yee-haw. My nephews wife is cute with a cute figure. When she sits next to me at family gatherings she seems so delicate and frail and sexy. I just can’t help indulging in a little fantasy. Don’t worry, she’s off limits, I know. She would not like me thinking anything like that and I NEVER do anything to make her uncomfortable. Anyway, a four day weekend coming up from work.

Yeah, ups and downs. It’s always good to have gone to family gatherings.

Yes, I’m always glad I did it. My sister told me I was lucky because I’m tall and handsome (her words). Just blowing my own horn here because I get few compliments.

Someone else said on here that compliments give you self-confidence. I wish I was better at giving them.

It’s so nice that you had a family reunion at your mom’s place, 77nick77. And sounds like you are going to have a warm Thanksgiving gathering again. Life is good, dude.

Dude? I kinda like being called that. Especially from a women.

I like the members on this forum to be a bit more close, like brothers and sisters, uncles and aunts to nephews and nieces…
