Not to freak you out, but cats can have that same issue. 
Ray would have been paying about $200+ a month at that rate. I once had to help pull a calf where, I’m up to my shoulder in the cow’s vag, and she let loose with a bowel movement all over the side of my head. That was it for me for anything vet-ish in nature, thank you.

I’ve found a good one that is veterinary approved, i’m just worried that it will make him sick,

It can be trial and error to see what a shitzu will tolerate food wise. I recommend buying a smaller amount of food at first to see if he does okay with it.

Oh come on, it’s not that bad. Expressing the anal glands is a routine part of regular dog grooming. When I had my previous dog (a Labrador retriever), I always expressed the anal glands prior to giving her a bath. I do not do this for my current dog only because she is so tiny and I’m afraid I could injure her so I leave it for the vet tech.

not yet lol, it was following me but its happy to lie in the hall alone during the night,
in the morning i will feed him and take him a walk, i need to find a leash for him, later in the week i will get some good food for him and look at the price of grooming, he is going to be my little buddy lol,
ok people My dogs called - Snoopy 
(he is 9 yrs old and always had that name)

They might let us take dogs to work soon.
If they do I will find one who they’re struggling to find a home for and look after it.

My Pug had problems with his anal glands.
This is common with small dogs.

Anyway, i had him out this morning and he did loads of toilets so i thought he must have not been getting out enough, he was barking at a couple of dogs but sat nicely outside the cafe, he was ok with my friend holding him while i went inside for coffee but when i left him alone he was barking when i came home so i was worried about that,
i’m going to get him some better food tomorrow bc he’s been scratching and maybe some shampoo.
The previous owners came over and reassured me that it wont happen if i talk to the dog and tell it off for barking.
Please don’t yell at a dog for barking. It’s how they communicate. Instead, try to set him up with the things he needs before you leave. He will bark when you come home because he’s excited to see you and wants to say hello.

Give him a long-term treat like an unbleached rawhide chew, and several enrichment toys, so he doesn’t get bored waiting for you.
I know but i heard him barking before i opened the door from outside and i cant risk him barking every time i leave bc my neighbours will complain, i gave him a hard bone to play with before i left and he had it in his mouth when i came home he quietened down.
Odds are he heard you walking towards the door. But if you’re worried about him barking, set up your phone to record, then go on a 20 minute outing. See if he barks the whole time, or quiets down after five minutes. Either way, yelling at him will only give him anxiety and make other behaviors start to emerge.
