I have to say very big thanks to you, @shutterbug
That’s a compliment which made my day.
It’s about acceptance of how you already are. The reality is you’ll probably never be able to afford plastic surgery unless you save every penny for 5 years and then blow it all on fake lips or fake breasts. And that probably won’t make you happy anyways because you’ll want to fruitlessly compete with other women who are prettier or are in better shape.
To be honest, I think you should be grateful for the looks and body you have now. You’re lucky that you’re not bad looking and you look like you’re fit. The way the world works is that there will always be other women who are prettier than you. Everybody knows that there’s pressure on women to look good and have the perfect body but the average girl walking around will never have the best face or the perfect body.
Superficially speaking, based upon looks alone, I think you could get a decent looking boyfriend who might have a decent job. I think you’re fine the way you are.
I don’t think you would like it. I’ve seen so many women ruined by it. I don’t think it’s worth it.
We look like our life experiences formed us to look. Plastic surgery doesn’t last forever. Sooner or later, the way your life made you will manifest itself again.
@77nick77 I appreciate your words a lot. I know I can sometimes sound selfish, when I talk such way like in this post.
Some things you said made me realise I really need to appreciate myself more. Maybe non stop comparing myself to other girls made me a bit too self-conscious… thanks, really. Somehow I believe I needed to hear it.
@devra I also saw some such cases… from pretty girls to something quite strange. I know what you mean.
@PinCushion truth. It’s wise what you said.
@anon8411913 You are gorgeous just as you are. If you get plastic surgery you are just going to ruin your natural beauty. And we have all seen and heard horror stories of botched jobs in Hollywood. You don’t want to be one of those statistics. I say keep your natural beauty. So much more attractive than phoney, plastic looks. The thought of a knife on your beautiful face sends chills down my spine.
@SkinnyMe that’s so sweet of you…
I feel like I am lost sometimes. Some thoughts in my head (like undrergoing tons of plastic surgery) are unnecessary and unrealistic. I know, that after such procedures, knowing my character I probably would be… even feeling regrets.
And thanks for so many great words.
With above average beauty, style is more important than physical beauty.
Everyone has a different view of beauty and it’s hard for the self see how one is already beautiful in the eyes of most people.
Don’t fall for conventional beauty, it’s promoted by a huge beauty industry
Not everyone thinks those perfect filtered surgical beauties are beautiful at all.
That’s so truth… the same is with makeup. Sometimes I think about such things as what is promoted as an ideal beauty, and it sucks.
Because it’s simply not achievable for 99.9% of people.
Sadly; women spend lots of money to look like somebody an unlike themselves as possible.
It becomes boring, every one looking the same. That’s how i see when the standard of beauty is the same, the beautiful end up looking boring. Same o.
You have some unique features and conventional beautiful features which makes you already so much more interestingly beautiful.
Hope you can see that. And yes, you can experiment with make up and style to enhance your natural beuaty and style.
Edit. Or natural works for you too. Most photos I’ve seen you looking beautiful naturally.
Well… I have to say thank you.
Some people told me in my life, “you are beautiful in a unique way” and it’s still one of the best compliments I heard.
And I have to say thanks again! Though I still have this idea in my head to stop spending money for makeup I would love to spend this amount of money rather for books.
I think you should own your beauty.
Surgically changing it to look conventional might be a bad idea.
Cause you are conventionally beautiful too, otherwise what makes you unique wouldn’t work.
Just avoid instagram and stuff that perpetuate this sort of thing.
Just accept you as you are and strive to take care of yourself and do your best
Good advices, @LevelJ1
Actually I know stuff in instagram made a bad impact on me. Atleast I should try avoid here those supermodels…
