My voice convinced me that reading was not the way to go. I’m putting my energy into music and drawing and writing. I enjoyed reading, maybe I made a mistake.

Reading is a good distraction from hallucinations. I would not listen to them. Last thing you wanna do is become exhausted overexerting yourself especially if making music means staying up late night. Idk I think it’s good I just wouldn’t listen to your voices. When I was delusional reading was almost the only activity which distracted me from my voices.

My voice also tells me to catch a bus out of town and be a vagabond but I wouldn’t do that. Some people just aren’t gifted with an intellect for reading. I’ve really, really tried.
I understand not being able to read certain subjects.
If I sat around doing nothing but reading the Bible and triggering myself into believing I’m god, that’s not a good thing, I wager.
hey, maybe I can only read four pages at a setting, but it’s progress…used to be I would just give up and not try…don’t stop reading dude…keep it up…don’t listen to the voice…it’s always misleading you…i know…

If you can’t read books maybe you can read newspapers or magazines. Or posts on this forum.
I read on the internet all day.
Also youtube has lots of interesting videos about all sorts of things.
Maybe you like to create more than consume.
