My husband’s friend at the gym didn’t recognize me. Ouch!
I guess that’s what happens when I let myself gain 80 pounds.
I just don’t want off olanzapine
So I’m hoping my new diet and exercise routine helps

Walk! It helps. I lost a lot of weight walking
I know the feeling too well…. Ugh.
I don’t even feel like myself, haven’t for a couple years, because of the weight gain.
I wish you much luck with your diet and exercise!!!
I was over 280lbs when I was on Olanzapine at the end of 2015. I switched meds and lost the weight but I’m still obese. I lost about 10lbs recently but I can’t tell in the mirror. Losing weight is frustrating!
I’m sure you already know this but I think it’s mostly about diet. I think drinking enough water can help and also filling up on fruits and veggies helps too. Wishing you success. Springs here it’s grind time
Olanzapine is kind of med that no matter if you eat or not, doubles your weight …
I’m obese from it and can’t lose weight,i switched to Clozapine two years ago…
I could hear my self getting fatter on it.
I’m trying. I’m lifting weights too and doing the elliptical but my ankle is still healing so I can only do so much
I agree. I’m now eating super healthy and only 1200 calories per day. Hopefully it helps
It’s amazing you’re able to do that. I remember you mentioning it before. I have a really hard time tracking calories… Maybe if I was a little more diligent about it
I plan out my meals a day in advance.
I measure, count, and weigh everything.
I put each individual ingredient of a meal in to get the most accurate calorie count.
It’s not so hard once you set your mind to it. @ThePoet
That action has a very high success rate. Most people arent that patient to do that but the weighing and measuring is very worth it. It’s amazing how much a serving size is for everything. We live in a country that’s about excess, I think. No restaurant ever serves the right portions appropriate for a human. It’s worth the education for sure.
I agree @sweetpotatopie
