I could feed a family of cannibals for years now if they caught me.
When i got on the weigh scale it said “to be continued”.
Id like to blame the meds but honestly ive been eating too much junk food. Ive been on risperidone injections for 3 months aswell. Spooky. Went from 186 to 236, unless the scale lied. Still tho, i need to make some changes in my life style.
Its definitely the medication, you need to get with your pdoc and find an alternative which doesn’t increase your weight. It will take time so get started soon.
I realized without medication i got my hunger/appetite better in control as with medication. The downside is i turn into an angry hulk. I done a lot of angermanagement and meditation. When i would stop smoking herbs i wouldn’t have the munchies so badly anymore as my medication is reduced.
I was 135 before medication, now I’m almost 300 pounds, so I can definitely relate. And this all happened in nine months. But, thankfully, I’m losing weight now with being put on Vraylar.
This particular medication… I’ve been on twice and I know that I’ve been told by my doctors that it takes six months where you’re really really hungry after that you are able to lose the weight you gain during that first six months this happened to me once the second time it happened retrying another med and another med et cetera
Seriously… The second time it didn’t come off again but I also had a psychosis in between with trying another differentw wrong med risperidone is an Excellent drug I completely recommend it
Not in the case of respiridone
It only increases appetite for a limited time, then that hunger will not be an issue any more and you can lose the weight
