I finally finished the book "Sophie's World"

I took about a few week break from reading it. But I finally finished Sophie’s World a couple nights ago.

Overall I feel it was an okay read. It’s well written, but I feel like the objective of the book fell a little short.

It’s a novel about the history of philosophy, but there’s only maybe like 1 paragraph about Nietzsche.

Also the book follows a very repetitive format.

:v: :books:.

It sounds pretty good. I like philosophy general theory and history more than going In depth on 1 theory in a long book.

Yeah, now that I think of it you probably would enjoy Sophie’s World. It’s pretty long, about 500 pages. But the philosophy in it is fairly easy to absorb.

It’s mainly a general overview of many different philosophers.

I read it when I was little, but I didn’t really like it. Maybe I was too young.

Could be. I personally feel like maybe 200 pages could’ve been trimmed off the book.

I think the intention/idea of the book was awesome. But maybe it would’ve been a little better if it narrowed it’s focus on like 10 to 12 prolific philosophers.
