I feel uncomfortable about the people who are supposed to be helping me

I don’t feel so comfortable around my therapist anymore.
All she does is enable my metal illness and she hardly ever challenges me.

And my new Case Manager hardly does anything with me.
She is all talk no action.

They are supposed to be helping not hurting.
Tired of this ■■■■.

What kind of things do you need your case manager to do (if you don’t mind me asking) ?

Like take me to my doctor appointments.
She bailed today last minute.
She is also supposed to take me to the MI Clubhouse and help work with me on my goals.
She doesn’t do this.

I’m giving her one more chance.
I might find another one.

If you feel your medical support system isn’t benefitting you I would suggest finding a new one. Med support plays a big role in coping and recovery.

That’s how I feel about my psychiatrist. He thinks I’m symptom free forever now. He doesn’t ask how I’m doing. He just updates himself on how much medicine I have left. He gets agitated when I tell him about my symptoms, and now I’m afraid to make him mad. Ugh! My life sucks. :confounded:

Sorry your going through this @Cici2!

That’s terrible. The way it SHOULD be (in a perfect world) is the people you go to for help should listen through and through to your problems. That’s terrible that his only concern seems to be with your medicine. This condition isn’t all about the medicine, it’s about cognitive therapy and having help dealing with something out of your control.

Yes, I keep telling my husband I want to go to the next town to find a new one. He’s the only one in our town.
