It varies.

I take my Abilify at 6pm, so I get most of the day feeling kind of ok.

I think i feel a great lack of enthusiasm and energy on them. But i dont knowc if thats also the illness/depression. Its really hard to show the difference.

I think like crap without meds. I felt hell on earth without meds. Give me meds or give me death!

I’m fortunate to be on abilify. It doesn’t really have any side effects. But in the past I’ve been on medication that makes me feel like crap.

APs hammer the snot out of me. I do my best to minimize my dose.

I take that back. I am sleeping better and dreaming…just not sure I’m noticing a difference in the areas I was shooting for (more pleasure, more energy).

I actually took abilify about a year before I got sick. It was a really weird feeling. Kind of a mild dissociation with this weird charge, like somebody turned a taser so low that it’s almost imperceptible then hit you with it perpetually. After the break I was so out of it, it was hard to notice anything specific about how they made me feel, other then the akathasia.

i think there is a mistake in amount of AP or the timing
there are doctors dho give sedative meds in the morning !!!

If I take care of myself, eat well and exercise, and sleep, I can go from feeling like crap to OK, or pretty good. While before, not being on APs my baseline was feeling OK or pretty good. Or something like that.

You could try clozapine. I know it sounds drastic but is the only antipsychotic I can tolerate even though I don’t have severe schizophrenia symptoms. Best of luck.
