I feel paranoid about this forum

Its public and anyone can see it even criminals. I read in the news in the US someone fought online with another and he tracked him then killed him at his house. I never posted selfies, location or used my real name luckily. Its worrying reading about those schizophrenics who kill people in the news. Its why I don’t have any sz friends in real life.

Maybe there is a way to track IP addresses, hackers. Or maybe the guy gave his address in pm

Speaking of paranoid, I started watching YouTube videos of ‘10 most bizarre things on doorbell cameras’. There’s a whole series of them, they’re crazy as hell, strangers walking up to the front door of peoples houses at 3:00 in the morning with guns and knives and masks and trying the doorknob or trying to kick the door down.

That’s sketchy to say the least lol. Damn criminals!

Yeah, and the majority of the time, the homeowners don’t even know the people who are trying to break in.

I also only have long distance friends not because I’m scared of schizos but because I’m a lonely wolf with contact to only my mother who is also Schizophrenic. I dislike so called normal friends because most of them got more issues than I. I had mental ill friends in the past but found out that they only liked me for the money I put down and likewise close family with exception from my mother.
So well I stay away from any contact to other people and save much money.

It seems like this is a good time to remember our policy of anonymity. We advise against giving your real name, address, or contact info to people from this site. I don’t believe we have ever had instances of people stalking others in person, but we HAVE had people harass others offsite for money, and one guy who tried to run a credit card phishing scheme by linking to a personal blog that had a “shop” section.

I would guess that the chances of that happening is extremely small. But yeah, I’m paranoid too sometimes so I understand it.

It’s common enough to be concerned and careful.

I’m more paranoid about humans in general than this forum. I do what I need to do to keep myself safe on the internet but honestly it’s a big stretch that randoms would target you on an anon site like this. Your more likely to experience crime by people who know you in real life.

You gotta stop watching the news, you’ll feel less activated and paranoid.

Aziz the favorite subject for the tablopress is schizophrenics as terrible mass murders. The truth lies in that almost none schizophrenics commit violent crimes. But I’m very afraid of falling victim to a normal perpetrator.

Statistically, people suffering from schizophrenia are more likely to be victims of violence (by normals) than the ones committing crimes, so SZ friends is safer unless they’re really aggressive from substance abuse. Many aren’t though.

As a SZ person, I take security seriously. Malware and ransom ware are big threats these days. Do you have a Staples store in your area? They have a good tech support service, that covers five family devices, and costs around $22 a month. The support team can even scan your computer remotely with Malwarebytes and do regular maintenance.

Not sure if I’m allowed to post a link to Staples…here it is anyway:

I don’t think you have anything to worry about from this site @Aziz you’re very mysterious haha
I’d invite any one of you to come visit if it wasn’t anonymous (@shutterbug, just saying). But you may have to sleep with some cannabis plants.
