I feel like crying

sz if such a frustration disease. It’s terrible to get beaten by it. What you describe is a place where a lot of us have been.

I have a hard time crying. It’s because I was beaten as a kid if I cried. I learned to never show weakness. But I have learned to feel safe when crying as adult. Crying can release tension and makes you calm. Sometimes things just need to get out other it will just build up and finally explode.

mobc, I am wondering if maybe you need different meds. I only say this because I was on Risperdal and was so anxious all the time and it was terribly uncomfortable and horrible. then I was switched to abilify and it was much much better.

now I am usually quite comfortable and sometimes almost happy.

ask your pdoc is what I suggest.

If you look around these boards you will find plenty of people who already have recovered or recovered “close to normal”, as you put it. With meds and social support, most people recover.
