I feel bored and think that everyone is having fun!

It feels like everyone else are enjoying themselves and are having fun. I would like to enjoy myself some more and not feel bored with myself.

How do you enjoy your time?

Today I’m going to bake. Yesterday, I spent a lot of the day drawing. Nothing fancy, just lots of doodles. Last week I went to DisneyWorld, and I’m going to LA/Vegas in a few weeks. I’ve got a friend coming to visit in January, and we’re about to get on a FaceTime call.

In between these things, I am often crippled with depression. I’m too down to worry about what everyone else is doing. I’m too down to do more than stare at a wall, and it’s brutal.

So take whatever little “up” moments you have, and take advantage!

What do you like to do?

That’s the problem. I have a lot of things to do but I keep thinking that everyone else are having fun without me. This thought makes me bored, unable to focus, unable being present. I can’t enjoy myself. It feels as I’m outside of myself, looking at my boring life. Weird!

I have books, a new Nintendo, a computer, my phone and I keep thinking nope I can’t enjoy myself. It’s hard to explain.

I have been terrible at sorting out my private time actually doing stuff.

So I am trying hard to occupy myself

Today I start painting my bedroom, and that will be done over 2 weeks

Then I have a Fast and Furious Lego Technics Dodge Charger to build up to Christmas

sounds like fun =)

I hope so. It wasn’t my idea to build stuff in my spare time but this is going to be the start of something I hope

I think people portray themselves as having more fun than they really are. It’s especially true since the advent of social media.

Yeah, you are right. Perhaps people have as boring lives as I do?

I am not having fun, I try to lift my spirits up with different types of music, well it is this time of the year:

That’s what I think @Speedy. I mean, kids and teens are often having fun but it’s offset by all the stresses of education and social media making them feel pressured to be perfect.

That sounds like fun. I am working slowly on a Technics project myself. I’ve got a Lego Saturn rocket waiting for me too.

OP:

I enjoy the banjo and a few other of my instruments plus I derive great joy in reading and birding. I enjoy these things bc I don’t compare myself to others and what they like or even what they think I should like.

I am my own Skunk.

If I finish the ones I have I will get one of those. Sounds amazing!

Yup! Supposedly it takes the average adult three hours to put together the Saturn Rocket set. I’m waiting for the chill of winter to start on it though.

Is the one you have 1 metre high when finished?!?!?!?!?

That sounds right. It is at least three feet when completed.
