I doubt I have sz/sza

I think I only have intrusive thoughts and not delusions because I have insight. I feel that my visual hallucinations are just light reflecting off my eye and nothing more. I feel like I don’t need to take my meds.

I was with you until this part. If you don’t your diagnosis talk to your doctor. Let her give you her opinion and why she thinks you have sz/sza. But don’t stop taking your meds without your doctor’s knowledge.

i disliked my diagnoses too, its changed a few times through the years but for the most part it has stayed the same. either sz or sza i take my meds no matter what.

I did go 5 days without my meds before but suffered withdraws. People said I was acting a little weird but I think I would be okay if I tried it again. I dont think i would suffer from psychosis because i dont think i have it.

Many people go through the vicious cycle of relapsing, loosing everything, and going back on the progress they’ve made. Don’t let that be you! Stay on meds. Enjoy the sane life!

I have alot of doubt sometimes I know it is stupid not to take my medication but there is something inside me that says don’t take it and that medication is evil.

That would be the disease talking. Don’t let it win.

Get used to,taking medication. Accept it. It is a necessary evil. Without it, you will cause yourself undue strain and be back in a hospital before you know what happened to you.

voices used to tell me that medication is evil too…
you can doubt your diagnosis and you can go to another doc. but maybe you have it and you are in denial. I dont know… you may have insight with delusions. I have too. I know they are irrational but yet I still believe em.

It’s common for schizophrenics to think otherwise about their diagnosis.

I’m not qualified to say. But I’m saying that!

@Johns774 True insight is knowing you need your medication, all else is a delusion
