I am taking olanzapine and I feel very bad;
I feel possibly even worse than when I was off meds.
I can’t go on like this anymore.
Perhaps I should quit this olanzapine because it is driving me
toward suicide.
Perhaps I should quit because I can’t continue.
I feel I might do suicide because I have no choice;
My disease is intractable and has no cure;
At a certain point it might just be too much for me;
I live under terrible pressure all the time;
How long have you been on your current dose? Are you on any other meds? If you’re actually considering suicide you need to get yourself to the hospital ASAP.
It is exactly 10 years since I have come off Olanzapine.
Fluoxetine works nicely with Olanzapine and makes it more tolerable.
Abilify and Geodon are more modern antipsychotics and may be worth talking to your pdoc about.
I’m sorry you’re feeling this way, and I hope you get help! As somebody who is suicidal quite often, I learned that it’s totally okay to live for something small. I’ve talked myself out of suicide for my pets, for Halloween, and for watching the rest of game of thrones. Hope this can help someone else as well.
Please don’t kill yourself @Chess24. Go to the ER or call 911. Please. We don’t want to lose you. Think, who will take care of Don Juan? Your cat needs you.
