I don't know why they won't hire me!

I’ve been applying left and right to get a job at a video game studio but nobody’s willing to give me my chance. I’m willing to go all the way even work full-time if I have to.

I don’t think I’m the best prospect for them and to be honest I’ve had a few chances that I had to pass up because I was scared of losing my benefits.

In an ideal world, I would be able to work part-time and earn 1000$ a month on top of my disability check, but there doesn’t seem to be any opportunities for part time jobs in the Video Game industry.

Thank you for reading, don’t know what I’m expecting!

It’s probably a really desirable industry. I imagine everyone who’s into video games wants that job. Id say just be persistent and I’m sure something will come of it. Making your resume competitive will help as well. Best of luck;

Thanks for your post man. I have a well-rounded up CV that I got done by a professional some time ago. I’m sure there’s a lot of competition out there, if I could go back in time I would not turn down the companies that were willing to give me a chance at becoming employed!

Did you tell them you have a mental illness? Please dont

Nope. The only time I ever disclosed was a long time ago when I interviewed for a course in Games Testing. The girl never called me back!

I have disclosed with every single job I have had in the past three decades. It doesn’t stop me from getting hired.

The wierd thing is I applied for a gov job where they were hiring for people with learning disability for the position postman .

I have only 74.5 % in my school and the people who applied had 94~98 % I was shocked :fearful: if that is learning disabled people where do I stand. It broke my confidence to very extreme.
