I think we should back up before this gets out of hand. I’m sorry you are hurt about it. You had the courage to express your feelings and I admire and respect that. I think you should stay. I don’t know if you are new or old member. But I hope you keep posting here. Besides if you don’t want to be called gross you should see all the take- a-shower posts here. Then you can judge the rest of us, too…

Okay, sorry for comparing it to those things.
What would be better to compare it to?
Obesity? Drug use? Sexual fetishes?
I’ve been called very mean things because of my tattoos. I hear about it a lot. So while it may not be an issue to you, it is most definitely an issue with me.
I’m sick of being stigmatized for every little ■■■■■■■ thing. From my weight, my sexual orientation, my religion, my mental health, and my tattoos.
It gets old, so yeah it hit a sore spot.
You like turtles? I like turtles too! We agree on that! 
So this isn’t just about the tattoos then? That makes more sense.
Still, it’s an offensive comparison. I’m sure you weren’t bullied, disowned by your parents, beaten up, shunned, or told your identity was an unnatural disease because of your tattoos. And at any rate, this thing is not that.
Take it into consideration, or don’t. I’m not going to argue any more.
