I don't know how some of you make it...high cost of living

Some of us have it nice, but most of us struggle financially , like me, I think…lately it’s been going really well…but this is a holiday month so I always have more money than usual these months…anyways…feel for you guys that struggle.

Inflation has been tough on everyone. I sent out Christmas cards to a few people. I’m trying to figure out if I have enough money to give Christmas gifts to relatives. Usually, I give out small gifts. I’m not sure I’ll be able to do that this year.

The food bank in my city had to tell sorters not to come in at one point, because there wasn’t enough food to sort. :frowning:

Prices at my drug store are so much worse than the grocery store, but they’re owned by the same company. I like to go to the drug store for a change once in a while, but now I don’t dare buy from them or I’ll run out of money faster.

We doubled our monthly food bank donation this month because of how bad things are. I also went into the credit line some for Toys for Tots. I’ll have that cleared in a month or two.

I’ve been cutting down on tobacco since September and im saving £100 a month just by cutting down drastically. Its been gradually smoking less but its working and im really chuffed to bits. Im not ready to quit totally because its too hard for me even using nicorette still too hard but cutting down is a big step

:hugs:

I stopped ordering ubereats since a year ago and have only been eating outside like once a month at mcdo 7$ for two wraps. I lost weight and saved money

I was never a smoker always hated the smell of tobacco. I want to quit vaping for health and money reasons but I have been making my own vape juice which saves me 60-70% of the vaping costs

Eating out used to be a big thing in our home, we can’t do that anymore with inflation now, so I’ve been cooking now

The other day I made a brownie recipe I saw on YouTube using bananas, peanut butter, maple syrup and semi-chocolate chips, which is supposed to be affordable and healthy… it was just okay lol

Retail inflation is out of this world. Shopping seems to go up every 2 months. And theyre saying in my country at least that the inflation rate has dropped but as far as im aware; the retail inflation of common goods like foods hasnt. It’s awful

I’m thankful and grateful for everything I have even though it’s not much. I don’t know if I could survive if I was well enough to work with how expensive everything is now.
