I don't know about this

A person who plays the intellectual dandy is often not liked in assisted living centers for the mentally ill. I figured I would forgo popularity where I lived and express myself how I pleased. This one girl started saying I had raped her because I talked about current events in a current events group. My attitude was - “get real”.
Finally she complained enough that staff told me to quit talking about things in such an intellectual way, because it was upsetting people. I acquiesced. Then, last Sunday my brother called. We discussed different popular issues like we often do when we visit. We talked this way for a good while. I didn’t think people could hear me outside my room. But this same girl is acting so angry and so put out because I held an intellectual conversation with my brother. Now, I can hear her next door talking at the top of her voice, and the sound is so faint I can’t make out what she is saying. I don’t know how she could have heard what my brother and I said. And don’t I have the right to express myself the way I want in my own room? I don’t know about this.

If you can’t hear her then she probably couldn’t hear you. She’s probably angry with someone new.

Yeah, that’s ridiculous, but maybe @everhopeful right. You certainly should be able to express yourself intellectually if you please, especially in your own room.

That’s hilarious, don’t change man. It’s her problem not yours.
