I figured out I’m having adhd sensory overload issues so I got some (new to me) clothes from good will! I feel really comfortable and the overload isn’t as bad

Nice! I also have adhd. And yeah new comfy clothes is such a calming and confidence boosting thing for when I go out and about. I might do the same in a few days from now. I starting to hate the old clothes that I currently have.
Have a nice day! @Twialine
@Ozzyskits I’ve been diagnosed adhd since I was 5 and am still learning what I need for myself I’ve always just been pushed to try harder not differently I now have a launchpad I have music I tune into in places with a lot of people…. I find as I get older my adhd is worse and it’s mostly internationalized and I’m learning more and more and doing things that help…. I remember my mom keeping me up till midnight trying to do homework and learning to spell (something I’m still not good at)
Good job @Twialine
That is a lot of good work!!
@Bitty thanks 15
Oh true! I appreciate the very genuine reply from you. ![]()
I wasn’t diagnosed adhd until a few years ago. Im 31 now so it was like late 20’s sometime. But I was diagnosed as having schizoaffective disorder first at about 16 or 17 years old. So i think we might have had an opposite experience in a way haha if that makes sense.
I think me having gone through childhood and teen years with really bad untreated adhd caused a lot of problems for me. I was a super chaotic person and struggled reaaaaly hard to listen to anyone. And I mean literally like someone talking right up close to my face and I couldn’t focus on what they would say at all sometimes. So I sucked at school lol. Probably contributed to me eventually getting sza.
Im happy you found music. I also love music. I always have something playing, wether on my noise-cancelling earbuds when i go out or a little bluetooth speaker thing at home. It is my therapy.
Anyway sorry if this was too long. You or anyone else on here can tell me to shut up if I go on about things too much. It won’t offend me I promise. ![]()

Oh and one more thing: I bet your spelling troubles are nowhere near as bad as my math troubles! ![]()
@Ozzyskits I couldn’t take stimulants and that’s all that was out when I was little so I was unmediated too. My math and spelling are both bad I was in special ed all throughout school
@Ozzyskits I can count back cash now though took me over a month to learn that I was 19 years old when I learnt my mom taught me after I got my first job as a Walmart cashier
Oh true that. Thats cool. I somehow managed to stay out of special ed and was just on the lowest levels of the mainstream subjects. Math was the worst though. Our class was so out of control. The teacher would play rap music during class to chill us out haha.
And i can relate about the cash thing at work. I had a job at a big chain fast food place as a teen and my till was almost always either way under or way over what was supposed to be in it at the end of my shift. ![]()
My till was always right only time it wasn’t was when I forgot to have a woman sign a wicc check…. Surprised I wasn’t fired it was for OVER $100 but it was my first offense so they let me off with a write up
Really?? 151515
Yeah the teacher literally did that! Often! It was like one of those American movies where a new hopeful teacher starts working at a rough impoverished school and wants to save them through the love of music or sport or whatever lol! But i would usually just end up skipping class so it didnt work exactly
.
Awesome!!! I’m very happy for you. It’s great to have a good and productive day.
