I did really well today! And a mind dump

I went to the community center today and walked, got into a fight with a punching bag, and finally stretched! I ended up sweating A LOT! But I feel good! I also cooked and took a shower and put lotion on, and did laundry!! I did really well today and hope to do well tomorrow! I feel good!!! I made enough dinner for a few days too! My husband didn’t like it but he did try and I’m happy he tried! He’s autistic so that was huge! (I made him sweet corn for him) I posted the dinner I made on the foodie 6 thread!

I’m happy for once I have had depression lately in the evening and I used music to help and it helped and instead of dwelling in the depression I did laundry and dinner and that helped too! I realized yesterday when I almost went to the er I had to change things so I’m doing more for me so instead of going to the hospital we went to Walmart and I got after shave stuff and baby oil gel for shaving (I love my safety razor even though I nick myself some but I didn’t nick myself once this time (but at the ankle where I forgot to put it at) I got a smell good lotion and a small lotion that I carry around for my hands and chocolate chapstick ($5 for 8 different flavors) and stuff for going to the community center (including a new bag and to go stuff and added my own shower stuff because they have a shower there and a pool) (the pool was closed today and yes it’s an indoor pool)

Earlier in the week I got earbuds and I keep them in my bedroom and I keep my headphones on my backpack I take everywhere…. I get anxious going out and need them in crowds I found that out the hard way last time I was alone in Walmart without them (my husband was in the store but talking to a friend while I shopped I ended up seeing someone I knew (a Walmart manager) and asked for help she immediately knew my husband’s name and had him called over the loudspeaker and he thankfully knew it was for him and came jogging up while I had a panic attack the person working with the manager had a stepladder push cart thing and put down the ladder and asked me to sit while she had me drink water so now I keep my headphones on me when I’m out

If you have any ideas that can make tomorrow (and beyond) go better (or things you do that help you in anyways) please let me know

A good breakfast is a good way to start the day. Buy some pancake mix or make some batter out of scratch with flour, sugar, an egg etc. Or cut up some vegetables like onion, asparagus, bell pepper, jalapeño, mushrooms or a potato and add them to scrambled eggs. If you have some meat that’s even better, cut it into 1/2 cubes and add it to the eggs and vegetables w/salt & pepper.. All this is very easy and if you do it you’ll feel like you accomplished something.

@77nick77 I’ve done frozen bell peppers with onions mixed defrosted them and cooked them with oil until cooked how I like them add egg and cheese talking about yum! Thanks I might do that soon!!

Nice day for you. Ive just had a shower and cleaned the bathroom, nothing much but i feel good for doing them since waking up feeling anxious and overwhelmed. Im gonna watch a movie later.

First, congratulations on accomplishing so much despite adversity (depression).

I think a good habit to get into is to make your bed right after you wake up. I have to admit that I don’t do this every day, but I think it sets the tone for the rest of the day. When I make my bed it gives me a sense of accomplishment that often leads to other accomplishments.

And if I do have a bad day I have a nicely-made bed to sleep on.

I leave it like dat on purpose in case i wanna nap.

I rarely nap. It messes with my nightly sleep.
