I did my behavioral therapist list of chores

I feel pretty good. I took the garbage out, walked twice(short walks), made up my bed, took the garbage out in my car, rinsed dishes,picked up cigarette packs and other small things, and took a shower.

Wow! Good for you! Glad to hear you were able to work up the motivation. Does it differ each day or is it mostly the same.

This was the first day. I’m sure some days will be very hard, and other days it won’t be so bad. My therapist said, your brain is like a muscle and these chores will get easier in time. because your brain will get use to it.

She is absolutely right. It is based on neuroplasticity. I know there’ll be tough days but you’ve done so we’ll already. I hope you feel a sense of accomplishment.

It sounds a good thing. You really need to force yourself sometimes to do the things most people take for granted. Well done to you and keep on keeping on!
