Since the doctor told me i have autism and wanted me to learn about myself, i was just feeling a little weird about it. Idk what made me think autistic people like lego kits (maybe they dont maybe they do idk) but i thought i’d see if i enjoyed it since i spend most my time watching the same stuff on tv over and over and worrying about stuff.
I bought two of the cheaper kits. And i put them together tonight. And i enjoyed it . It kept me fully occupied and i didnt have any room in my mind to worry.
I hope this isnt offensive. I just wanted to share what i made.
Thats cool. I used to have these massive lego star wars space ships that were pretty nice. Loved them.
I dont really have much in the way of creative hobbies these days except maybe journaling sometimes. I’d like to get back into a bit of art or something. Just havent exercised that muscle for so long i think what i would produce would be pretty mediocre. I might try some sketching today since youve inspired me a little. Thanks haha.
I know adults without dxes who do lego. Some of the kits are really complicated and it’s like a lot of model building. The process of creating something from a kit can be very theraputic. It’s not a bad hobby to have.
Legos are amazing fun. I adore Legoland because they are very aware of their target audience. They have a few “quiet rooms” with bean bags, mood lighting, and soft music where you can go to decompress if the park gets overwhelming.
