I can't cry on meds

Is there anyone else that can’t cry on meds? No matter how sad the situation is, I can’t shed a tear. Its been so long since i’ve had a good cry.

Im on Olanzapine and Cipralex.

I’m sorry.

That sucks for you,

Crying is such a relief sometimes.

I cry all the time,

Bordering on too much.

I cried a bit, more like watery eyes, when my dog died. At the time I was on 30 or 40 mg of olanzapine.

@Charles_Foster - I agree, crying is definitely a relief.
@Headspark - Sorry to hear about your dog. R.I.P

Yeah, it takes a lot to get a tear out of me. A full fledged cry is pretty much an impossibility.

I can cry. I don’t, but I know I can. The next time will probably be when my parents die.

I’m a year out from my last injection and still can’t cry. I get watery eyes, but that is it.

I don’t think it’s the meds.
It could be the illness, schizophrenia.

I cry all the time but I have bipolar disorder.

Sometimes I cry uncontrollably triggered by something random like happiness

Same, but why would I miss it? Crying sucks.

@agent101g - Crying only sucks if you do it a lot. Crying about once a month is good for you in my opinion.

I’m on olanzapine currently and I have noticed that, yes. Although, the Prozac is working wonders so I don’t really have much to cry about anymore.

Maybe both?

Off meds I cry for no reason, I get inappropriate emotions also like laughing hysterically for no reason.
